A 1959 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Man Without a Star, the 1955 King Vidor cowboy western ("He hid his past like the scars on his back and he carried fear in his holster!"; "You could buy his guns (or his guts) for cash... but that's all he had for sale!"; "This was the night he must walk alone with his fear in his holster and his hate locked deep in his heart to face an empire of barbed wire and bullets to the keep the most dangerous bargain of all!"; "His home was his saddle, his only friend a six-gun and his country the wild free range!"; based on the novel by Dee Linford) starring Kirk Douglas, Jeanne Crain, Claire Trevor, William Campbell, Richard Boone, Mara Corday, Myrna Hansen, and Lee Van Cleef NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that between the time the movie was first made, and when this release occurred in 1959, Richard Boone had become a major star on TV's "Paladin", and so he was given billing equal in size to that of the top stars (billed as "Richard 'Have Gun Will Travel' Boone") and ALSO given an inset photo image (equal in size to that of star Kirk Douglas), as well as a second tagline ("T.V.'s 'Paladin' Richard Boone"). I guess they REALLY didn't want you to miss that Richard Boone was in this movie! Condition: good. Note that a theater was showing this movie during its 1959 re-release, but apparently was NOT showing the other half of the double bill that the studio intended ("Johnny Dark"). So someone at the theater took two of the double-bill one-sheets, cut them in half, and taped them together! Some people might consider this worthless, but I think it is kind of cool!
