An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Paperbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Allegheny Uprising, the 1939 William A. Seiter Pennsylvania pre-Revolutionary War historical cowboy western ("America's First Rebel and his wildcat blonde in buckskin... Daring the peril path of wilderness in the danger days when Pittsburgh was 'way out West'... Riding the conflict of a nation aborning on a love that stood against the untold terrors of those turbulent times!"; "'Mighty' is the word for it! Mighty in theme!... Mighty in scope!... Mighty in spectacle!--But mightiest of all in the heat-winging thrill that sings and sweeps through every stirring scene!"; based on the novel 'The First Rebel' by Neil H. Swanson; about settlers in Pennsylvania in 1759 who try to get the governing British to ban alcohol sales to Native American Indians) starring Claire Trevor, John Wayne (as James 'Jim' Smith), George Sanders, Brian Donlevy, Wilfred Lawson, Robert Barrat, John F. Hamilton, Moroni Olsen, Eddie Quillan, and Chill Wills NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. This means the poster was backed onto a heavy paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, and window cards. The advantage of paperbacking a one-sheet is that it still feels very much like an unbacked poster, but the slight disadvantage is that it is more fragile than if it were linenbacked. Condition: very good to fine. prior to paperbacking, the poster was in very good to fine condition; it had creases, a few small tears, and some smudges and a few stains around the edges of the poster. The person who paperbacked it pretty much left the minor border defects as they are, but they are truly not very noticeable or distracting (and of course would be covered if the poster were framed). The image area of the poster was in really excellent condition with only the most minor of defects! Learn More about condition grades
