An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style C One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Girl of the Golden West, the 1938 Robert Z. Leonard romantic cowboy western musical (about a beautiful saloon singer who is romanced by a bandit who pretends to be a soldier in order to be acceptable to her, but what will happen when she finds out the truth?) starring Jeanette MacDonald, Nelson Eddy, Walter Pidgeon, Leo Carrillo, Buddy Ebsen, Ray Bolger, and Leonard Penn. Note that there were two silent movies based on this same play by David Belasco, and an earlier sound version in 1930 with Ann Harding. There was also a opera version by Puccini based on this play.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had pretty minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
