Date Sold 1/24/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" [9 x 14 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) The Lone Rider, the 1930 Louis King cowboy western ("The screen's daredevil cowboy Buck Jones in a thrilling breath-taking all talking western") starring Buck Jones (his first talking movie!), Vera Reynolds, Harry Woods, George C. Pearce, and Silver (Jones' horse!). Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were. This was one of the few movies where Silver was billed on the posters! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this herald, and the buyer of that example has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example of this herald we have ever auctioned! Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
