Note that most French two-panels have one panel side-by-side with the other, so that they measure 63" x 94". However, THIS French two-panel has one panel on top of the other, resembling a very large door panel, and so it measures 44 1/2" x 122 3/4" [113 x 312 cm]. In fact, this exact same image was used for a door panel that measured approximately 22" x 62" (one-quarter of the size of this poster). We have previously auctioned one example of the door panel version, and two incomplete examples of this poster (only the top panel), BUT WE HAVE NEVER BEFORE AUCTIONED THIS COMPLETE TWO-PANEL! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and darkening, creases, tears, and paper loss on parts of several folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
