British Agent, the 1934 Michael Curtiz Russia Revolution spy espionage romantic melodrama ("Suggested by the best-seller of R.H. Bruce Lockhart"; a very convoluted story of Englishman Leslie Howard in Russia during the Russian Revolution, and he falls in love with Russian Kay Francis, and he is about to be killed as a spy, but Kay Francis saves his life and Lenin himself sets them free and lets them go to England together) starring Leslie Howard, Kay Francis, ("with a cast of thousands including") William Gargan, Phillip Reed, Irving Pichel, Walter Byron, Ivan Simpson, J. Carroll Naish (as Trotsky), Tenen Holtz (as Lenin), Joseph Mario (as Stalin), and Cesar Romero
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned 4 lobby cards from this movie (the title card, which has a smaller image of Francis, and three scene cards, which do not show her at all), but we have never auctioned THIS card card, which has a great close up of both Leslie Howard AND Kay Francis! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. There are some tiny black dot ink stains in Howard's cheek below his eye. There are pinholes, stains, smudges, and some white paint in the borders, slightly extending into the edges of the image, as well as some dot stains scattered within the image background. There is a tiny tear in the center of the top blank border. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card before placing a bid. This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the smudges and stains can be removed through chemical means, and after proper restoration, the card will look fantastic. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
