An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Fighting President, the 1933 political biographical documentary ("The timeliest motion picture of all time"; about the life of Franklin D. Roosevelt, up to and including his first month as President of the United States) narrated by Edwin C. Hill. This movie was filmed just one month after FDR took office, and through newsreel footage, this feature-length documentary covers his entire life to that point, and shows his inauguration, plus what occurred during his first month in office. The media shielded Roosevelt's disability from the public, and in this movie, he is shown swimming in his pool at home, which he did in fact do, but of course, they were being misleading by showing that in the movie without focusing on his disability! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1933 movie posters from this documentary are incredibly rare. We have never auctioned any movie paper item from this movie until we received this one-sheet! Condition: good to very good. There is a second vertical fold just to the right of the regular one. There are creases and scuffs on parts of the folds, and pinholes, smudges, and faint stains around the edges. There are some pieces of tape on the back of parts of the borders. There is faint staining on the back of the bottom quarter of the poster, but it has little effect on the front. After a simple linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic!
