Shackles of Gold, the 1922 Herbert Brenon silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the modern society drama 'Samson', by Henri Bernstein"; about a man who starts as a dock worker and becomes rich, and he acquires a gold digger wife who uses his money to help her family; when the man learns the truth, he sets out to ruin the wife's family, but ruins himself instead; ironically, the wife then realizes she really loves him and stays with him) starring William Farnum, Alfred Loring, Marie Shotwell, Myrta Bonillas, and Wallace Ray. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
