Americanism is Not, and Never Was, a Matter of Race or Ancestry, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("No loyal citizen of the Untied States should be denied the democratic right to exercise the responsibilities of his citizenship, regardless of his ancestry. The principle on which this country was founded and by which it has always been governed is that Americanism is a matter of the mind and heart. Americanism is not, and never was, a matter of race or ancestry. Every loyal American citizen should be given the opportunity to serve this country wherever his skills will make the greatest contribution-whether it be in the ranks of our armed forces, war production, agriculture, government service, or other work essential to the war effort. -The President of the United States, February 3, 1943") promoting the equal rights of all citizens to be hired into the work force, quoting a passage by Franklin D. Roosevelt, and featuring art of a bald eagle carrying an American flag.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster has separation at the top and bottom of the vertical foldline and in the top crossfold. It has tiny creases, tears, bits of paper loss and areas of separation along portions of the upper vertical foldline and there are tiny irregular areas of paper loss scattered in the lower quarter.
