An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #1 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) King Creole, the 1958 Michael Curtiz New York City Coney Island tough-kid-leaves-the-slums-but-can't-escape-his-past rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musical (based on the novel 'A Stone for Danny Fisher' by Harold Robbins) starring Elvis Presley (as Danny Fisher), Carolyn Jones, Walter Matthau, Dolores Hart, Dean Jagger, Vic Morrow, Liliane Montevecchi, and Paul Stewart. Note that this was the fourth of four movies that Elvis made before he went into the Army in 1958. He made no movies in 1959, and the public so wanted to see one that Paramount gave this movie and Loving You a full scale double-bill re-release just one and two years after they were made, with new posters for each, and the tagline "Elvis Presley back on the screen for the first time in a year"! Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There are a few pinholes in each corner. There is a piece of tape on the back of the center of the top border, but it was not put there for any restoration purpose.
