An Original Undated (probably 1930) Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" Movie Still (Learn More) Dorothy Sebastian was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. Some of her movies include: Show People, Ship of Wanted Men, The Women, and Spite Marriage. She passed away in 1957 at the age of 53. Important Added Info: Note that this wacky publicity still shows Dorothy Sebastian in seven images, first as a prehistoric naked Eve, and then six images of her modeling bathing suits from 1890 to the then-present-day, which was 1930! Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Also note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILL! Condition: very good to fine. There is slight ink transfer in the bottom center of the still from the fold down snipe, but it is in the blank white border, and does not affect the image. The still is otherwise in nice condition!
