An Original Vintage Unfolded Circus Poster (measures 28" x 40" [71 x 102 cm]) (Learn More)

Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the 1975 Richard Barstow (produced by Irvin and Kenneth Feld) Special Bicentennial Edition poster ("Alone in its greatness."; "The Greatest Show on Earth"; "200 years of circus in America") advertising the appearance of the circus in the town the poster was used! The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance and high operating costs, the circus closed on May 21st, 2017 after 146 years.

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few light creases around the edges with some dot staining at upper left (see our image) but otherwise it is in pretty nice condition!
