An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Song of the City, the 1937 Errol Taggart Italian-American life-lesson seafaring musical melodrama ("It's Dynamite!") starring Margaret Lindsay, Dean Jagger (billed as "Jeffrey Dean"), J. Carrol Naish, Nat Pendleton, and Dennis Morgan (in his fourth credited movie role). Note that Dean Jagger made one silent movie in 1929, and then had a handful of starring roles in the early to mid 1930s (with a full head of hair!), but he never really hit it big. In the 1940s however, he became a character actor (now bald!), and he had a distinguished career. Oddly, he was billed in this one movie only as "Jeffrey Dean", for unknown reasons (perhaps MGM did not like the name "Dean Jagger"!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There is discoloration and water staining across the bottom of the poster and in the bottom of the right border, but it only slightly affects the image. There is similar staining in the top blank border. Other than this and separation and tiny paper loss at the top crossfold, the poster is in pretty nice condition, and after a simple linenbacking, it will look great!
