An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked International One Stop Movie Poster (1 stop; measures 26 1/4" x 41 3/4" [67 x 106 cm]) (Learn More) Humanoids From the Deep (released outside the U.S. as "Monster"), the 1980 Barbara Peeters science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("They're not human. But they hunt human women. Not for killing. For mating."; "From the caverns of the deep... it strikes!"; "Story by Frank Arnold and Martin B. Cohen"; produced by Roger Corman) starring Doug McClure, Ann Turkel, Vic Morrow, Cindy Weintraub, and Anthony Penya. Note that this movie is one of the best of the "so bad that it's good" genre. The monsters have a strange habit of killing teenage boys, yet they only grab girls' tops! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bob Larkin Important Added Info: Note that poster was originally one-third of a 1-stop poster. One-stop posters measure 41" x 77" and have two "one-sheet" images with a set of 8 "lobby card" images between them. Often, one of the two one-sheet images is either a very rare style, or an image that does not appear on any other poster! Sometimes collectors will cut off the rare "one-sheet" section, so that they could have that rare image together with their one-sheet collection, and that is what this collector did (he trimmed off that section and it now measures 26 1/4" x 41 3/4" [67 x 106 cm]), but it is a "complete" poster in the sense that nothing was trimmed from that portion! Also note that this is an "international" style one-stop poster (printed in the U.S. for use in Spanish-speaking countries). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster is one-third of a larger poster (see above). It has fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but of course, bear in mind that this is only part of a larger poster. Learn More about condition grades
