Date Sold 5/10/2022Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Street of Forgotten Men, the 1925 Herbert Brenon silent beggars-pretending-to-be-crippled-to-gain-sympathy romantic love triangle melodrama ("Where the Lights of Love and Devotion Conquer the shadows of Falseness and Despair"; "A picture stronger than 'The Miracle Man'"; "Adapted by John Russell"; "From the story by George Kibbe Turner") starring Percy Marmont, Neil Hamilton, Mary Brian, John Harrington, Juliet Brenon, and Louise Brooks (as "A Moll", uncredited in her first movie role). Note that we had never seen or heard of any movie advertising from this that shows Louise Brooks, until November of 2018, when we were consigned a single still that shows her! We don't know that she appears on any other movie paper, since she was uncredited. We imagine there would be a few other stills that show her, but we have never auctioned another, and we might never get another one again. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
