An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Big Clock, the 1948 John Farrow New York City newspaper publishing murder crime film noir ("The crime of your life!"; "The strangest and most savage manhunt in history!"; "Based on the Novel by Kenneth Fearing"; about a magazine publisher who commits murder and then frames his lead editor for the crime) starring Ray Milland, Charles Laughton, Maureen O'Sullivan (in one of three movies she did with her husband, John Farrow), George Macready, Rita Johnson, Elsa Lanchester, Harold Vermilyea, and Harry Morgan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had paper loss in the middle of the top blank border, with separation and paper loss in the top 3" of the vertical fold. It had creases, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of most foldlines, with many pinholes around the edges, and some small areas of paper loss (caused by rough removal of the pins). There was a tiny "1A" in the lower left corner that was in the area where there is paper loss. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
