eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 4d0269 PROPAGANDA STRIKES WITH 10 REALISTIC POSTERS group of 9 21x28 WWII war posters 1943 very rare! Date Sold 4/16/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. A Group of 9 Original Vintage Unfolded World War II Posters (measure 21" x 28 1/4" [53 x 72 cm]) (Learn More) Propaganda Strikes with 10 Realistic Posters For Your Plant, the 1943 set of U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front posters ("Catchy Epigrams - Photographic Realism - 10 Points Covered Scientifically"; "Our record: Over five million pieces posted or distributed to workers without a complaint") created by McGovern-Anderson Co. Note that this set of posters was meant to be purchased and posted in businesses and factories in order to encourage responsible behavior, productivity and a strong work ethic in employees. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the company that made these posters made this set of ten posters that they sent to places as a sample set. Nine of the posters had 21" x 28 1/4" posters on one side and the tenth poster had the last image on one side, and on the other side it had an ad for the other nine posters, referencing that the tenth poster was on the other side (see our images). These nine posters came to us from the family of the man who printed these posters, and somewhere along the way, one of the ten posters (the one that shows "An Eye on the Clock and Not on the Job") is no longer present. So the winner of this auction gets eight posters, each with one of these posters on one side, and a ninth poster with one of the posters on one side and the ad for the whole set on the other, but they DON'T get the missing tenth poster. These posters are surely incredibly rare, and we have never sold even one of them before! Note that one of this group of nine posters has a different image on each side, so we have provided an image of each side of that poster (see above), so the winner of this auction will receive NINE posters, even though there are ten images! Condition: very good. Eight of the posters are unfolded and have some minor border wear. The tenth poster (the one that is double-sided) was folded, no doubt so it could be mailed to businesses to try to get them to order the complete set. See our images to get a good sense of the condition of each poster. Learn More about condition grades
