Note that star Marlon Brando had a fascination for Tahitian women, which was a major factor in his wanting to make this movie. Before this film, he sought out and married Movita, who had starred in the 1935 version with Clark Gable, having two children with her. After the filming of this movie, he had an affair with Tarita, who played the role Movita had played in 1935, and he married and had two children with her as well! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning (and we are auctioning another rare Spanish poster for this title in a separate auction!). Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has some tiny dot stains along portions of the edges (more so in the upper edge). It has a tiny spot of paper loss at upper center over Brando's art and a tear at upper left, and both are repaired with tape from the back and some amateur restoration was performed (see our image). It has minor fold and border wear with some tiny paper loss in the crossfolds, but otherwise the very rare poster is in generally nice condition and after linenbacking with some proper restoration it will display well!
