Date Sold 9/5/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 120 pages) (Learn More) Shaft, the 2000 John Singleton action crime thriller ("Still the man."; "'SHAFT', Any Questions?"; based on the original blaxploitation action series of movies from the '70s starring Richard Roundtree in the title role!) starring Samuel L. Jackson (in the title role as John Shaft), Vanessa Williams, Jeffrey Wright, Christian Bale, Busta Rhymes, Dan Hedaya, Toni Collette, Richard Roundtree (in a cameo appearance as "Uncle John Shaft"), and Gloria Reuben (in an uncredited role) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the revised draft from August 19, 1999 and the screenplay was written by Richard Price. It was the personal copy of Allan Apone, who was a makeup artist for this movie, and while his name is not on the cover, this was his script. What is fascinating about this script is that it has a number of Polaroid photos of Samuel L. Jackson from various scenes, so that Alan Apone would know how to make him up for those scenes. Also note that there are a multitude of different colored revision pages from many different dates (apparently this script was revised over and over, which must have driven the actors crazy!). Condition: fair to good. The first 30 or so pages of the script were water stained in the top left, and they are now rippled in that area, but they are not stuck together. Some of the remaining pages have slight rippling in that same area. See our multiple images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this script. Learn More about condition grades
