An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Remember the Night, the classic 1940 Mitchell Leisen romantic good-guy-reforms-bad-girl screwball comedy ("Original Screen Play by Preston Sturges") starring Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray, Beulah Bondi, Elizabeth Patterson, and Sterling Holloway. Note that this was the last movie Preston Sturges wrote before beginning to direct his own scripts, and this movie contains many typical Preston Sturges touches, and is quite delightful! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that posters from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a window card and an "other company" half-sheet from this movie until we were consigned this studio-issued half-sheet! Also note that the poster was folded at one time. Because the foldlines are such that they have diminished over time, we don't want to re-fold the insert prior to mailing, because we believe that re-folding it would lessen its condition and we will sent it in a large flat package. If you specifically request it, we will re-fold this insert, but you will not be able to return it. Condition: good. The poster had 3" of separation near the center of the horizontal fold and someone put tape on the back of that area. There were also tears in the solid area above the second "r" of "Remember" in the title, and someone put tape on the back of that area. There are some tears and tiny paper loss in the borders and some ancient tape stains. The poster has many light vertical creases scattered in the left and right, with scuffs and smudges in the parts of those areas that are solid colored. There is a stain in MacMurray's forehead at the bottom of his eyebrow. Someone long ago performed touch up to the above defects. If I owned this ultra rare poster, I would have it professionally restored, but that will be the choice of its new owner. Learn More about condition grades
