Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded English One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 40") (Learn More) The Deer Hunter, the classic 1978 Michael Cimino (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) English/U.S. Vietnam War military thriller ("One of the most stunning and powerful films of all time."; "One of the most important and powerful films of all time!"; "Story by Michael Cimino & Deric Washburn and Louis Garfinkle & Quinn K. Redeker"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Robert De Niro (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), John Cazale (in his final movie role), John Savage, Meryl Streep (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Christopher Walken (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and Chuck Aspegren NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Fred Atkins Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially English movie! Also note that we have been told that this "Russian Roulette" style poster was considered too disturbing for use and new English posters were created. We were also told that most of this style were destroyed and very few remain! Condition: very good to fine. the poster has minor creases down the left edge of the poster and a few very tiny "bump" marks in the very bottom of the right border; other than these VERY minor defects, the poster is in wonderful condition! Note that this is a poster that is very rarely found in top condition. This is because there is something about the paper stock that causes the solid black areas to scuff extremely easily, and so most examples of this poster have from a few to many scuff marks in the black areas. The example poster here has virtually no scuff marks anywhere on it (the tiny white dots in De Niro's figure just above the title are part of the image and are NOT scuff marks!).
