An Unfolded Two-Sided Swiss Travel Poster (measures 16 1/2" x 39" [42 x 99 cm]) (Learn More) Swissair was the national airline of Switzerland from 1931 to 2002. Swissair was one of the major international airlines and known as the "Flying Bank" due to it financial stability, causing it to be regarded as a Swiss national symbol. However, burdened by over-expansion as a result of the controversial "Hunter Strategy" in the late 1990s and after the economic downturn following the September 11 attacks, Swissair's assets dramatically lost value, and they ceased operations in 2002. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is double-sided, but not in the regular way. There is a different image on each side of the poster. We have provided an image of each side, and please realize that the winner of this auction will receive ONE poster! Condition: fair to good.
