An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Stage Play Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 83 3/4" [104 x 213 cm]) (Learn More) Cats, the 1981 - 2000 Trevor Nunn musical stage play production (of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical which was based on T.S. Elliot's "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats") and has cast several stars over its years, including: Kenneth Ard, Terence Mann, Rene Clemente, Reed Jones, Ken Page, Timothy Scott, Roxanne Barlow, Randy Bettis, Frank Cruz, Holly Cruz, and Natasha Davison. Note that this play premiered in 1981 at the New London Theatre and that production ran for 21 years. The Broadway production opened in 1982 and ran for 18 years. Artist: Martha Swope (photo) Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and some tiny creases and scuffs on parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
