An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Chained for Life (also released as "Siamese Twins"), the 1951 Harry L. Fraser Siamese twins (conjoined twins) murder crime thriller ("The 7th wonder of the world!"; "The Siamese Twins the loves and lives of the Hilton Sisters in 'Chained For Life'"; "Daisy and Violet...The only Female Siamese Twins ever born...and only the 3rd set of twins in over 3000 years."; "Both girls had separate husbands!"; "What happens in their intimate moments?"; "Can a Siamese Twin have a shy husband?"; "Is it legal to marry a Siamese Twin?:' See why 21 states refused them a marriage license?"; "Joined together how can they make love to separate husbands?"; "Why is Daisy's love different from Violet's?"; "Can they have a normal love-life?"; "Must their husbands lead a double life?"; "Strangest love story ever told"; about a court that must decide what will happen to one sister if the other is convicted of murdering her cheating husband) starring Violet Hilton, Daisy Hilton (in the title role; billed together as "The Hilton Sisters"; best known for their role in "Freaks"!), Mario Laval, Allen Jenkins, and Patricia Wright. Certainly, this is one of the most "politically incorrect" movies of all time, and its sleazy ad campaign really needs to be read to be believed! Finally, note that this movie was first released by tiny "Classic Pictures", and despite its name, it was the first releasing company for this "classic" movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three examples of this one-sheet, and only one in the last 19 years (that example sold for $526)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had top fold had tiny areas of paper loss across it, and there was some on the other folds. There are creases in the middle left at the bottom of the dress and in the girl's hair, and we don't know if that occurred before or after backing. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
