A 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Radio Publicity Still (Learn More)

A Christmas Carol, the 1934 CBS radio holiday fantasy melodrama (from the classic novel by Charles Dickens) starring Lionel Barrymore as Ebenezer Scrooge. In 1934, CBS signed Lionel Barrymore to do this radio program on Christmas day, and he was contracted to reenact the show each year for five years. Apparently it was so successful that he not only continued to do so for those five years, but far beyond that, until 1952!

Important Added Info: Note that this still is from the second time this radio show aired, in 1935 (see above). Barrymore reenacted the show he had done the year before (it was not re-broadcast).
