Josetti was founded by Oskar Josetti in 1888, and the company has changed hands many times over the years. Artist: Walter Muller Important Added Info: Note that this poster was designed to be used on Litfass columns. Litfass columns are sidewalk advertising structures invented by German printer Ernst Litfass in 1854, and they can be found all over Germany. It has been printed in two sections that are designed to overlap each other (see our image). Note also that Walter Muller was a former student of A.M. Cassandre, and co-founded a Stuttgart advertising agency after World War II (WWII), and in 1949 he founded his own agency called "Plan+Form". Note that this poster must be sent in a tube that is over 32" long (which is why it is in this set of auctions). You can tell how long the tube will need to be by adding 2 inches to the shorter dimension of the length or width (so 40x60s need to be sent in a 42 inch long tube, etc). Most of these posters (with the notable exception of paper banners) CAN be combined in the same tube together, with a few exceptions. Bear in mind that a very long tube (42 inches or longer) will cost a lot more to send than a 30" tube, so bear that in mind before bidding on this poster. Condition: good. The poster has some uneven slight discoloration in a few areas and some creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges especially at upper left. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
