An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Zane Grey's The Border Legion, the 1924 William K. Howard silent romantic cowboy western (based on the novel by Zane Grey; about a cowboy who is wrongly accused of murder, and he is rescued by a gang of Idaho outlaws known as the Border Legion, and they force him to join the gang, but when they kidnap his ex-girlfriend, he has had enough, and he marries her and they escape together) starring Antonio Moreno, Helene Chadwick, Rockliffe Fellowes, Gibson Gowland, and Charles Ogle. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned some lobby cards and a still from this movie (and no posters) until we received this one-sheet! Condition: good. The poster has separation, tiny tears, and some tiny bits of paper loss on the vertical fold between the top and bottom crossfolds and in the left half of the middle fold, with a lesser amount on the other folds. Someone put tape on the back of the left half of the middle horizontal fold and also on the back of the bottom crossfold, and also on the back of some border tears. There are many light vertical creases scattered throughout the poster, with some discoloration in the white background areas at left, caused by ink transfer when the poster was damp while folded. All of the above defects can be corrected during the linenbacking process, and if done by a top restorer, the poster will display wonderfully, but bear all of this in mind before bidding on this extremely rare poster.
