Whistling in the Dark, the 1941 S. Sylvan Simon radio detective crime murder slapstick comedy ("Surprise comedy hit of the year! Don't miss it!"; "Laugh while your spine tingles!"; "Based upon the play by Laurence Gross and Edward Childs Carpenter"; about a radio detective who is kidnapped with his girlfriend by crooks, who demand that he plan the perfect crime for them; one of three movies where Red Skelton played the same radio detective, all with similar plots) starring Red Skelton, Conrad Veidt, Ann Rutherford, Virginia Grey, 'Rags' Ragland, Henry O'Neill, and Eve Arden

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Italian poster, and we auctioned that same poster twice before. That same example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is STILL the only example we have ever auctioned!

Also note that Italian posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are, and they were almost all not the standard Italian sizes that became standard in the late 1940s (the 39x55 one-panel, the 55x78 two-panel, etc). These are likely so rare because there were still major paper shortages in Italy right after World War II, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. This is an extremely rare first release Italian poster from 1949.

Condition: fair to good. The theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces).
