Date Sold 11/26/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) In Caliente, the 1935 Lloyd Bacon Mexico romantic musical comedy ("A Musical Heat Wave is on the way"; "Dance Numbers created and directed by Busby Berkeley"; about a magazine editor who writes a negative review of a pretty Mexican cabaret dancer, but then they fall for each other!; the plot is pretty thin, just enough to hold together the great Busby Berkeley dance numbers) starring Dolores Del Rio, Pat O'Brien, Leo Carrillo, Edward Everett Horton, Glenda Farrell, and The De Marcos (Tony and Sally) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1935 movie paper from this Busby Berkeley movie is incredibly rare. We auctioned two lobby cards from this film in 2004 and 2006, but since then we have only auctioned one window card, some stills, and a few other small items but no other movie paper!paper! Note also that this is one of 26 groups of lobby cards that we are auctioning in 26 different auctions. The cards were all found at the same time, and they are all from 1934 or 1935, and many of them are from extremely rare titles. HOWEVER, ALL ARE HEAVILY STAINED AND HAVE OTHER DEFECTS. But of course, any or all of them could be restored, but bear in mind their VERY significant condition defects before bidding on them. Condition: poor to fair. As noted above, these cards are stained and have other defects, as clearly seen in our super-sized images. THEY ARE IN URGENT NEED OF PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION.
