Terrifying!"; based on the novel by Walter Van Tilburg Clark; about a group of men deciding whether or not to lynch three suspected murderers and cattle rustlers; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Henry Fonda, Dana Andrews, Mary Beth Hughes, Jane Darwell, Anthony Quinn, William Eythe, Harry Morgan, Frank Conroy, Paul E. Burns, George Meeker, Almira Sessions, and Harry Davenport. Note that in the book that this film is based on, the protagonists voted to lynch the criminals in a different fashion, and the contents of Dana Andrews' letter are never revealed. Learn More Condition: good. The card had tears in the bottom right, and someone had once put tape on the back of that area, which bled through to the front in the credits area. The card also had pinholes and smudges around the edges, and a few scattered in the image. Someone restored the card without backing it (perhaps during a gelbacking process).
