A Group of 5 Unfolded Special Posters (measure 38" x 50" [97 x 127 cm]) (Learn More) Looney Tunes is a 1930 to present Warner Brothers long-running theatrical and television (TV) animated animation cartoon series featuring famous cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, Roadrunner, and Tweety Bird. They series have been directed and animated by notable animators including: Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Friz Freleng, Bob Clampett, and Hugh Harman If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: What an incredible find this is! These were for a special promotion that Pepsi Cola did with Hardee's. They licensed the images of some of the most memorable Warner Bros. characters (Bugs Bunny, Petunia Pig, Tweety and Sylvester, and Pepe Le Pew, and created 18 different glasses that they gave out randomly, making it almost impossible for collectors to acquired a complete set! But there is something even more special about these promotional posters! We know this promotion was done in 1973 and 1976, but THESE posters are from 1975 (and the dates printed on them correlate to 1975), SO THESE MUST BE FROM A 1975 PROMOTION THAT FELL THROUGH (and then was done the following year in 1976). We have never auctioned any of these posters from this cancelled promotion (or from the promotions in 1973 and 1976), and they are surely unbelievably rare! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. The posters were never folded. The Bugs Bunny has paper loss in the bottom right corner, but that could easily be recreated. Each of them have some creases, small smudges and scuffs around the edges with a few creases scattered throughout and a few other minor defects. Generally they have survived pretty well, and while one would certainly prefer that the Bugs Bunny not have the paper loss, these posters are beyond rare and it seems a miracle that any of them have survived at all!
