A Group of 2 Color Photographic Negatives (measure 4" x 5" [10 x 13 cm]) (Learn More) Annette Funicello was an actress from the 1950s to the 1980s and is best known for her role in beach movies of the 1960s, and for being one of the original Walt Disney Mousketeers. Some of her other movies include: Head, The Shaggy Dog, Babes in Toyland, and Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine. In 1987, she was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis), and she hid the condition for 5 years, but then she "went public" with it to help others who suffered from the disease, and she did much charitable work raising money to fight this disease and others. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Each negative has a sticker on the plastic sleeve that has letters and numbers. We took a picture of each negative in the sleeve so that bidders can see those stickers (if it matters to them). We also made a scan of each negative without the sleeve, because that is higher quality (so there are two images for each negative). Note that these are "studio-issued" negatives. What are they? They were produced by the studio but are not the camera originals. They are very high quality and were created in quantity by the studios and sent to media outlets or other places that had need of the very highest quality image for reproduction purposes (in newspapers, magazines, or elsewhere). We have taken a scan of the negatives as they appear, and also a special scan of the negatives that show the "positive image" of each. We will provide the winning bidder of this auction with those positive image scans. Each of the negatives is in a plastic sleeve (but we removed each and scanned them, so that bidders could see just how high quality they are). They will be sent to the winner of the auction in their plastic sleeves. This is a very special auction of 710 extremely rare negatives and transparencies of various sizes, plus lots of sets of 35mm slides. EVERY single one in this auction is either "studio issued" (meaning it was created by the studio and sent to theaters and movie outlets), OR it is a "camera original" (meaning it was the actual negative that was in the camera when the photographer took the picture). Every auction clearly identifies which they are, and there are no items being auctioned that are not either "studio issue" or "camera originals". We have divided them by type and size. Also note that this auction is for one or more negatives, and every one of the 185 auctions of negatives we are currently running have been scanned expertly. This auction contains the scan(s) of the negatives in this auction, and they have been scanned so that you see a "positive" image (and we have added an "eMoviePoster.com" watermark over it), but the auction is for the actual negative. The winner of this auction and ONLY the winner of this auction will, upon request, be sent the UNWATERMARKED scan(s) of the negative(s) in this auction, which will both save them the time and expense of scanning them themselves, and also allow them to make positive prints of the items they purchased, if they desire.
