An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Whispering Sage, the 1927 Scott R. Dunlap silent cowboy western ("The romance of a hard-riding avenger"; "Story by Harry Sinclair Drago and Joseph Noel") starring Buck Jones, Natalie Joyce, Emile Chautard, Carl Miller, and Albert J. Smith. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair. The entire card has darkened somewhat. It has tack holes, smudges, and small stains around the edges. There are a few tiny stains scattered in the image, and pencil marks in the upper center that someone tried to erase. Please look closely at our images of the front and back of this card before bidding. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
