Important Added Info: Note that we auctioned this exact card two years ago. The person who purchased it had additional restoration performed (which we recommended when we originally auctioned it), and it now displays quite well. See below for the exact condition description we gave it two years ago, and then our added comments about the additional restoration that was expertly performed. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS gelbacking? Learn More Condition: good to very good. When we first auctioned this card (see above), the card "had a 7" tear in the middle right, extending to below Donat's hand. It had small tears above and below that long tear, with a 5" horizontal crease in the upper right border running into Donat's hair, with some other light creases scattered in the image. There was some surface paper loss on the back of the top border and on the back of parts of the top right of the card when it was removed from a mat. There were some pinholes, creases, and tiny tears around the edges. Someone long ago put tape on the back of the long tear, but that tape has been long gone. Someone since then glued that area and performed some slight other restoration to the card without backing it." THE PERSON WHO BOUGHT THE CARD HAD ADDITIONAL RESTORATION PERFORMED SINCE WE DESCRIBED IT THE WAY WE DID ABOVE! The restoration was really expertly done, and the above defects are FAR less noticeable now than they were when we first auctioned this card. It has greatly improved the appearance of the card, and it will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
