If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had a 1/4" x 3/4" area of paper loss near the center of the poster just below the three red marks by Brando's eye. There was a half-dollar-sized area of paper loss at the left crossfold in the solid white area. There was tiny paper loss at the right crossfold. There were a few tiny tears and very tiny areas of paper loss on the foldlines. There were some very minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and the restorer spent time on the paper loss in Brando's image, and it is really not distracting and barely noticeable at all. Learn More about condition grades
