Auction History Result 2m0574 LOT OF 1 PICTURE SHOW OCTOBER 1919-APRIL 1920 ENGLISH MOVIE MAGAZINE BOUND VOLUME 1919-1920 Date Sold 7/10/2022 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 1 October 1919-April 1920 bound volume of issues of Picture Show ("The paper for people who go to the pictures"), an English movie entertainment magazine published in the 1920s to the 1950s (maybe other years as well), featuring many photos and articles of popular films and movie stars! Note that the magazine was initially called "Picture Show", but at some point around 1940 it was changed to "Picture Show & Film Pictorial" and that at some later point in the 1950s, its name changed to "Picture Show and TV Mirror" (when it added coverage of TV shows). If anyone knows more about this magazine, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this is one of two bound volumes of early movie magazines that we are currently auctioning, in two separate auctions. Measurements: 9" x 11 1/2"Condition: fair to good. Someone removed some of the covers from some of the issues, either before or after they were bound. There may be a few other pages missing as well, but otherwise, the interior pages are in pretty nice condition, with the exception of one cover, which has come loose and has tape staining down the spine. Please do not bid on this thinking it is in better condition than it is, but it does still contain a huge number of great illustrated articles and images.
