An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Flesh, the 1932 John Ford romantic wrestling sports melodrama (based on the story by Edmund Goulding; about an ex-con who becomes the wrestling champion of Germany, but then he falls for a bad woman who is an ex-convict, and she convinces him to move with her to America, where he gets involved with shady wrestling promoters) starring Wallace Beery, Ricardo Cortez, Karen Morley, Jean Hersholt and John Miljan. Note that IMDB lists William Faulkner as an uncredited writer for this movie.

Important Added Info: Note that 19 years ago, we auctioned a set of 8 cards from this title, but we have otherwise never had even a single lobby card, until we were consigned this great one! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. The card has slightly darkened throughout. There are tack holes (some enlarged) with tiny stains in the blank borders. There is a 1" crease on the floor to the left of the man's shoulder. There are rough creases in the lower left corner that have cloth tape on the back. The back of the card was used to advertise an Our Gang short, and that is written in grease pencil, but it has no effect on the front. There are areas of surface paper loss on the back of each corner, and on the back of the center, but they also have no effect on the front.
