An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Red Beret (released in the U.S. as "Paratrooper"), the 1953 Terence Young English World War II (WWII) military skydiving action thriller ("Alan Ladd at his greatest in this ripcord thriller that rips at your emotions!"; "The skies go black with thousands of fighting men hurtling into battle!"; "Alan Ladd, the toughest paratrooper of them all - hits the silk!"; "A thousand thrills a second!"; "The year's big adventure in color by Technicolor"; "Their destination no other men could reach!"; "Story by Hilary St. George Saunders, adapted from his book, 'The Red Beret'"; "Produced by Irving Allen and Albert R. Broccoli") starring Alan Ladd ("In his greatest action role!"), Leo Genn, Susan Stephen (billed as "introducing Susan Stephen"), Harry Andrews, Donald Houston, Anthony Bushell, Patric Doonan, Stanley Baker, Lana Morris, and Tim Turner. Note that Broccoli went on to produce the James Bond series of movies, which Irving Allen did not want to produce, because he did not think that they were even good enough for television!; a few years later, Allen tried to make up for his massive blunder by producing the series of Matt Helm movies starring Dean Martin, but the only way he could get Martin to star was to make him a partner, which meant that Martin made more money from The Silencers in 1966 than Sean Connery made on Thunderball the previous year, and Connery was not happy about that at all!
