An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Heir to Trouble, the 1935 Spencer Gordon Bennett cowboy western ("Wanted! Dead or alive!") starring Ken Maynard ("He's dynamite in action!"), Joan Perry, Harry Woods, Martin Faust, Harry Bowen, and Frank LaRue. Note that Joan Perry had been a former model who was discovered by Columbia head Harry Cohn. He put her in a bunch of movies, and then married her, and in 1941, she retired. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had a slightly diagonal crease or tear across Maynard's upper lip and cheeks, entering the bottom of his nose. It also had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some pinholes and surface paper loss scattered in the image, with tears and areas of paper loss around the edges, and pieces of tape in three corners. Someone mounted it onto a thin piece of linen with no restoration and no excess, but overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking, and any talented restorer could remove it from the thin linen and perform proper restoration, and the poster would display well. But bear this expense in mind (and study our super-sized image) before placing a bid on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
