Date Sold 7/23/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) No Other Woman (also released as "Man and Wife"), the 1933 J. Walter Ruben romantic love triangle rags-to-riches melodrama ("From the play 'Just a Woman' by Eugene Walter"; a wild story of a poor woman who runs a boarding house, and she marries a poor blue collar worker, but when they meet a man who invented a new kind of dye, they open a factory, and become very rich, but that causes the husband to travel a lot, and he falls for a "bad" woman, and then he and the new woman start divorce proceedings, and even try to get custody of the young child, but the mother manages to turn the tables in a stirring final courtroom scene) starring Irene Dunne, Charles Bickford, Gwili Andre, Eric Linden, Christian Rub, and J. Carol Naish. Note that Gwili Andre played the "other woman" in this movie, and she apparently did "too well", because the character was so unlikable that it pretty much ruined her career. 26 years later, Andre committed suicide by surrounding herself with press clippings and mementos of her career and setting them on fire, certainly a foolish way to pass away. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned four stills and a glass slide from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this window card! Condition: fair. There is much staining scattered in the bottom of the card, affecting a significant portion of the image. There is paper deterioration in Dunne's shoulder. There are also stains and smudges in the rest of the card, but not nearly as significant. Obviously, this incredibly rare card can be rescued through restoration, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
