An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Clancy's Kosher Wedding, the 1927 Arvid E. Gillstrom silent romantic love triangle Jewish/Irish marriage gambling boxing sports comedy (about Jewish and Irish families who own clothing stores next to each other, and their children are in love, but the Jewish parents want their daughter to marry Izzy Murphy, who, despite his name, is a Jewish prizefighter; Izzy challenges the Irish son to a fight, and the two families bet their stores on the match; the Irish son beats the Jewish prizefighter, which means that the Irish family now owns both stores, but they miss their old friends and rivals, and they take them in as equal partners in the combined business) starring George Sidney, Will Armstrong, Ann Brody, Mary Gordon, Sharon Lynn, Rex Lease, and Ed Brady. Note that this movie was made one year after the first in the very popular Universal series of movies called "The Cohens and the Kellys". This movie was made by FBO, and it essentially uses the exact same plot, even naming the Jewish family "Cohen". We don't know if any lawsuits were threatened over this, but the series did continue at Universal, whereas this was the only one at FBO. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also. note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two lobby cards and a still from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this third lobby card, which has a different scene than the previous two! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. There is light water staining down the left of the card that slightly extends into the image. There is a tear at middle right that was repaired with tape from the back.
