An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian One-sheet Movie Poster (measures 28" x 40") (Learn More) One Mile From Heaven, the 1937 Allan Dwan interracial family relationship melodrama ("She the strangest story of mother love!"; "Dared she tell...why two mothers claimed this child? WHICH HAD THE GREATER RIGHT? ..the mother who brought this baby into the world? ...the one who fought to world to keep it for herself?"; "A story of mother-love the news papers would not print!"; "Two women claimed her... but which one was her real mother?"; about a newspaper woman who believes she has a scoop when she finds a black woman who is the mother of a white child!) starring Claire Trevor, Sally Blane, Douglas Fowley, Fredi Washington (a very light-skinned, very talented black African American actress who refused to try to "pass for white", and who appeared in several important black related movies including "Imitation of Life", "The Emperor Jones" and "Black and Tan"; ironically, she had to have her skin darkened, so she could "pass for black"!), Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson (one of the first black African American actors to achieve success in mainstream sound movies), and Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there is a stain in the cheek of the girl at center, but that otherwise the poster is in surprisingly decent condition! Also note that this is one of a group of five Australian one-sheets, five U.S. one-sheets, and ten Australian "long" daybills, that were found under a floor in a house in Australia! All of the posters have significant damage, but of course, all of these rare posters could be restored by a talented restorer. Please look VERY closely at our "super sized" images of these twenty posters BEFORE you place a bid on any of them!
