An Original Vintage Swedish Campaign Book (measures 9 1/2" x 12 3/4" [24 x 32 cm]; 19 single-sided pages) (Learn More)

Warner Bros/First National 1937-38, the 1937 Swedish campaign book created to promote upcoming Warner Bros/First National films. Note that this book was printed in France, but entirely in Swedish, so we imagine it was simply cheaper at that time to print the book in France, but it clearly is a Swedish campaign book, because it is advertising to theater owners in Sweden. Some of the movies and stars advertised include: The King and the Chorus Girl, Green Light (Errol Flynn), Kid Galahad (Edward G. Robinson, Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis), Black Legion (Humphrey Bogart), The Prince and the Pauper (Errol Flynn), Isle of Fury (Humphrey Bogart), and Another Dawn (Kay Francis, Errol Flynn). Until we were consigned this Swedish campaign book (and another from the following year), we had no idea that Warner Bros. (or any studio) made campaign books for Sweden!

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Swedish campaign book! As noted above, we are also currently auctioning a similar Swedish campaign book from 1938, in a separate auction.

Condition: very good. The interior pages have a slightly oversized cover and a string that binds the interior pages to the covers. There are smudges and creases on both covers with some small tears around the edges and just a few smudges on the interior pages (see our many images).
