An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 30") (Learn More) Wake in Fright (released in the U.S. as "Outback"), the cult classic 1971 Ted Kotcheff Australian/U.S. teacher-stranded-in-bizarre-Outback-town-with-very-strange-people thriller ("Have a drink, mate? Have a fight, mate? Have a taste of dust and sweat, mate? There's nothing else out here."; "Based on the novel 'Wake in Fright' by Kenneth Cook") starring Donald Pleasence, Gary Bond, Chips Rafferty, Sylvia Kay, and Jack Thompson. Note that this movie was intended to be titled "Wake in Fright" for it's U.S. release, but the producers re-titled it "Outback" over the director's objections. It did not do well on it's first release, but it was re-discovered many years later, and was given a major re-release in 2011, on it's 40th anniversary.
