An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War II Poster (measures 20" x 27 3/4") (Learn More)

Join the Women's Land Army, the 1944 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Pitch in and Help!"; "Join the Women's Land Army of the U.S. Crop Corps") featuring artwork by Hubert Morley of women doing various farm chores! Of course, this poster was created because of the millions of men who were overseas, and the need for women to take over jobs that they regularly performed.

Artist: Hubert Morley

Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There were some tears around the edges of the poster and creases in the top left. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
