Independent T.V. Premiere Theatre, the 1950s New York television poster ("Every Friday night at 11:15 following the news!"; "Prize winning full length feature films"; "First TV showing in Rochester"; "Presented by Independent Gasoline and Oil Company and Calso"; "Channel 10, operated share time by WHEC-TV - WVET-TV") promoting movies such as Seventh Veil with James Mason, Christopher Columbus with Fredric March, Man in the White Suit with Alec Guiness, and A Man Betrayed (re-titled "Wheel of Fortune") with John Wayne.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that TV posters from the 1950s are many times more rare than movie posters from the same time period. Very few are known to survive from the 1950s, and of course, we have never auctioned this poster before! Also note that this poster was created on a fairly heavy paper stock, similar to window cards of this time, so it can't possibly be rolled, and must be sent in a flat package that measures approximately 13" x 30", so bear this in mind before bidding.

Condition: good to very good. There is small paper loss in three corners and pinholes in the fourth corner, with small paper loss in two areas in the top border and a 1" tear near the center of the top border. There are staple holes in the center of the bottom border (see our image).
