An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card #4 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) thriller ("The master of suspense brings you his masterpiece!"; "Based on the short story by Cornell Woolrich"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes"; about a man who breaks his leg and is forced to stay at his home until he's better; during this time he observes his neighbors and does some voyeuristic detective work) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; as Jeff), Grace Kelly (as Lisa), Wendell Corey (as Detective Lt. Doyle), Thelma Ritter (as Stella), Raymond Burr (as Lars Thorwald), Judith Evelyn (as Miss Lonelyhearts), Georgine Darcy (as Miss Torso), Jesslyn Fax (as Miss Hearing Aid), Rand Harper, Havis Davenport (Harper and Davenport played the "newlyweds"), and Ross Bagdasarian (as the "Songwriter"). Note that Raymond Burr had appeared in movies for seven years before this, but always had minor roles, usually playing the "heavy". Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by James Stewart! Our consignor obtained this autograph through the mail in correspondence with Mr. Stewart, but they don't have a "certificate of authenticity", however, our consignor and we believe it to be an authentic autograph! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good to very good. The card was displayed in a frame, which caused it to darken unevenly around the edges. There is a light vertical "bend" running down the right 4" of the card, but it is not creased. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! This lobby card is an excellent candidate for restoration, because it is likely some or all of the darkening can be removed through chemical means, and after proper restoration, this card will look fantastic!
