An Autographed 3" x 5" [8 x 13 cm] Index Card (Learn More) Robert Wise was a legendary producer and director from the 1940s to the 2000s. Some of his movies include: I Want To Live (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), The Body Snatcher, The Set-Up, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Sound of Music, and Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Not only did Mr. Wise work over many decades, but he worked in many different genres, and he excelled at all of them, something unusual for a top director! He passed away in 2005 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: This index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Robert Wise. The index card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer for many years. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both collectors and people who worked on movies, and in some of those collections he purchased many autographed items, and sometimes he met with celebrities and had them autograph items he owned in person. Both we and our consignor feel it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. Condition: very good.
