An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Leslie Howard was a top English star from the 1910s to the 1940s. Some of his movies include: Gone With the Wind, Pygmalion (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), In Which We Serve, Forty-Ninth Parallel, Berkeley Square (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), and The Petrified Forest. Howard was at the height of his popularity when he passed away in 1943 at the age of 50, when the plane he was in was shot down by Germans.
