An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Private Worlds, the 1935 Gregory La Cava psychiatrist psychiatry mental hospital melodrama (a movie that was far ahead of its time in two different areas!; it makes the case for compassionate treatment of mentally ill people in mental hospitals, and it also has Claudette Colbert playing a female psychiatrist in a strong positive role at a time when few movies allowed women to play such roles!) starring Claudette Colbert (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Charles Boyer, Joel McCrea, Joan Bennett, Helen Vinson, and Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1935 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned two inserts, a window card, and three lobby cards from this movie until we received this great card showing the top two stars!

Condition: good to very good. The card was used in England and it has a small circular British stamp in the bottom left, but the person who stamped it kindly did so in the background area (see our image). The bottom left corner was torn off diagonally and someone taped it back on with brown paper tape, but they did not match it perfectly (anyone could remove that tape and re-attach it better). Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
